Tony Blair's sister-in-law converts to Islam

Just read this news on internet about Tony Blair's sister-in-law converting to Islam. Allah hu Akbar!

May Allah Ta'ala give her (and us) istiqamah and makes it easier for everyone to get through all the trials & move on.
Tony Blair’s sister-in-law has converted to Islam after having a ‘holy experience’ in Iran. Broadcaster and journalist Lauren Booth, 43 – Cherie Blair’s half-sister – said she now wears a hijab head covering whenever she leaves her home, prays five times a day and visits her local mosque ‘when I can’.

She decided to become a Muslim six weeks ago after visiting the shrine of Fatima al-Masumeh in the city of Qom.

‘It was a Tuesday evening and I sat down and felt this shot of spiritual morphine, just absolute bliss and joy,’ she told The Mail on Sunday.

When she returned to Britain, she decided to convert immediately.

Here is a video of her testifying her faith at GPU event:

Eid on 9/11?

With Ramadan starting on 12th of next month, chances are that Eid-ul-fitr may fall on September 11th - a day which is too sensitive to two nations for very obvious reason.

It should be noted that date for Eid-ul-Fitr is determined based upon actual sighting of first visible crescent of the new moon. Although there has always been a bizarre controversy (or better say Ikhtilaaf) concerning the date that it results in different groups celebrating Eid on different days. Situation some times get so unfortunate that in a family some members fast and some celebrate Eid. Ajeeb!

But anyway, I was just wondering WHAT IF eid consensually falls on 9/11 or let's say some group gets the same date based on their Ijtihad on moon sighting issue?

Bye Bye Facebook

Following the 'Draw Muhammad day' controversy and on the advice of Maulana Taqi Usmani Sahab, I have finally deleted my Facebook account. Though it was super hard on my Nafs to get unplugged from 250+ friends all of a sudden, but I had to crush my Nafs for the love and honour of the most beloved [Sallalaahu 'Alay Wassalaam].

Deleting our accounts shall cause great economic loss to Facebook, who permitted the blasphemous contest on drawing our beloved prophet.

I request everyone to listen to this extremely important Khutbah delivered by Mufti Taqi Sahab last Friday in view of current controversy of blasphemous Facebook page. Kindly listen to the complete bayan and forward it to as many people as you can so that we can collectively register our peaceful protest against Facebook.

Tafseer of Surah Humaza [Namoos e Risalat - Boycott Facebook] by Mufti Taqi Sahab [Urdu].

Verbatim of the Khutbah in English for Non-Urdu Readers/Listeners.

Let's hit them where it hurts most.

Battle for Hearts and Minds - Teaser

Another documentary on the American-Afghan war is in line and this time with cinematic quality that we may not have experienced ever before. Don't know which side this documentary would favour most or is it going to be completely neutral. We can only depend upon its release to know the truth. Till then watch its trailer:
