With Ramadan starting on 12th of next month, chances are that Eid-ul-fitr may fall on September 11th - a day which is too sensitive to two nations for very obvious reason.
It should be noted that date for Eid-ul-Fitr is determined based upon actual sighting of first visible crescent of the new moon. Although there has always been a bizarre controversy (or better say Ikhtilaaf) concerning the date that it results in different groups celebrating Eid on different days. Situation some times get so unfortunate that in a family some members fast and some celebrate Eid. Ajeeb!
But anyway, I was just wondering WHAT IF eid consensually falls on 9/11 or let's say some group gets the same date based on their Ijtihad on moon sighting issue?
